Pricing

How is holiday light installation priced?+

Most of the price comes from linear footage of roofline, so we measure the runs we're lighting rather than guessing off square footage. Height and access matter too — a single-story ranch run is far quicker than a steep three-story peak that needs extended ladders. Extras like wrapped trees, wreaths, garland, walkway stakes and timers are priced separately so you only pay for what you want.

What does the price actually include?+

Your quote is all-in for the season: design and measurement, commercial-grade lights custom-cut for your home, clips and power plan, installation, mid-season maintenance, takedown in January or February, and off-season storage of your lights in our warehouse.

Can I get an accurate price before you visit?+

Absolutely yes! We utilize Google Maps tools in conjunction with pictures you provide to give us a 100% accurate estimate that we stand behind on install day. Send your address and a few photos of the front of the home through the free estimate form and we'll put together a firm quote without ever setting foot on the property.

Do I own the lights or do you?+

We provide the lights as part of the service and store them for you between seasons. Because they're custom-cut to your rooflines, they get re-fit and re-hung on your home each year — you never buy, untangle or store anything. The lights remain the property of EverGlow Michigan for the duration of the service; should you ever discontinue service with us, the light sets must be returned to EverGlow Michigan and may not be retained, sold, or transferred.

Do you charge for the estimate?+

No. Estimates are always free, and there's no hard sell. Requests submitted before 8pm ET get a same-day response.

Holiday lighting: install, maintain, take down, store

When do you start installing?+

Installs typically run from late September through early December, weather permitting. Lights are installed early and simply left off until you're ready to turn them on — most customers light up around Thanksgiving. Booking early gets you the schedule slot you actually want.

When do you take the lights down?+

Takedowns run in January and February. We work through the schedule as weather and safety allow, so there's no rush on your end — the lights come down carefully, not in a hurry on an icy roof.

What if a bulb burns out or a section stops working?+

Just call or text us. Mid-season maintenance is included — if a run goes dark or a clip lets go, we come back out and fix it at no extra charge.

Where are the lights stored in the off-season?+

With us. After takedown, your light sets are labeled by home, inspected, repaired as needed and stored in our warehouse until next season. Nothing takes up space in your garage or basement.

Will the clips or installation damage my roof or gutters?+

No. We use non-penetrating clips designed for shingles, gutters and fascia — no staples, no nails, no holes. Cords are routed and secured so they stay hidden and out of walkways.

Can you light trees, bushes and walkways too?+

Yes. Wrapped trunks and branches, bush lighting, walkway stakes, wreaths and garland are all available. Send a photo of the areas you want lit and we'll include them in the design and quote.

What color and style options are there?+

Warm white is the most popular for a classic look, plus pure white, multicolor, and custom mixes. We use commercial-grade C9 LED bulbs — brighter, more consistent and far more durable than store-bought strings.

Do the lights turn on automatically?+

Yes, we set up timers so your display comes on at dusk and shuts off at whatever time you choose.

Cleaning services

How often should gutters be cleaned in Michigan?+

Twice a year is ideal for most homes here — once in late fall after the leaves drop and once in spring. Homes under heavy tree cover often need the fall visit split into two passes to keep downspouts flowing before the first freeze.

What's included in window cleaning?+

Glass inside and out, plus tracks, sills and screens. We wipe frames down and leave the interior work areas covered and clean.

Will pressure washing damage my siding or concrete?+

Not the way we do it. We match pressure and technique to the surface — soft washing for siding and painted surfaces, appropriate pressure for concrete drives, walks and patios. Older brick and mortar get extra care.

Can I bundle services?+

Yes, and it's the smart way to do it. Gutter cleaning right before a holiday light install saves a trip and a fee, and most customers add a spring pressure wash when the lights come down.

Scheduling and service area

Which cities do you serve?+

Troy, Birmingham, Beverly Hills, West Bloomfield, Bingham Farms, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Canton, Livonia, Northville, Novi and the surrounding communities across Oakland and Wayne County.

Do I need to be home for the work?+

No. For exterior work we just need access to the property and an outdoor outlet for lighting installs. We'll confirm the plan with you beforehand and send photos when the job is done.

How fast do you respond?+

Same day on every request submitted before 8pm ET. Most quotes go out within about 30 minutes during business hours.

How do I pay?+

We invoice you directly after the work is scheduled and confirmed. You'll always know the full price before we begin.
